During our tests, it stayed clear of getting caught on power cords and long curtains, and even dog toys. It's not perfect, and occasionally it gets stuck on things such as tangled cables or odd toys or books.

The S7 Max Ultra vacuuming is impressive. It did an excellent job of removing dirt, pet fur, and other particles, both on carpet and hard floors. The automatic dustbin emptying feature was flawless during our tests. This was very reassuring. It also boasts 5100 Pa HyperForce power which is significantly greater than the 2,500Pa power of the S6MaxV and S7.
The S7 Max Ultra's mopping capability was good too, although not the best we've seen. It utilized an exclusive microfiber mop pad that absorbs liquids and utilizes sonic vibration technology to scrub your floors up to 3,000 times per minute, which is a bit quicker than the X1 Omni's circular pads that rotate at 180 revolutions per minute. The S7 Max Ultra’s ReactiveAI 2.0 obstruction recognition system is excellent. During our testing, it didn't get stuck on any objects and it stayed clear of power cords long curtains, power cords and other potential obstacles 100% of the time.
2. Narwal Freo
It is an activity that is hated by many, yet it is vital to keep your home tidy. It's messy, and often smelly job that can be difficult to complete, as it requires dirty water, dustbins and the necessity of making sure that debris or hair isn't clogging traps or brushes. This is the first robot vacuum and mop combo to have this feature. It's a great feature even if you don't use the app. You can also optimize your routing during the session by using the controls on the LCD screen. This will ensure that the robot is doing exactly what you would like it to do.
The Narwal Freo also does a good job of keeping the noise low when it's in use and registering just 63dB when it is in suction mode. Despite this, maintenance for the Freo isn't completely hands-free as you'll need to regularly clean different components such as the main brush roll and side brushes.
3. Ecovacs Deebot t9+
The Ecovacs Deebot T9+ (available at The Good Guys for $1279) is one of the best self-emptying robot vacuums and mop combos available on the market. It can map your home and vacuum and mop while avoiding obstacles. It can even spout an air freshener.
It's simple to set up, using the app to create an accurate map of your home, which it utilizes while cleaning. Then, you can use the app to select specific rooms or areas to clean. You can also set the time of day you would like it to start working, so your floors are clean while you're away or asleep.
In our tests in our tests, the T9+ was extremely impressive in its ability to navigate obstacles. However, it does have the tendency to take slightly manic routes around the house, which often meant it ended up back at the same place it had started cleaning just minutes earlier. It didn't happen very often however enough to warrant being noticed.

The iRobot Combo j7+ is a great robot to clean floors. It's a vacuum and mop all in one. It has excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. It can help you map your home and clean areas without bumping into walls or furniture. The app lets you set up zones to indicate areas that need to be cleaned as well as areas that you don't want it to be cleaned. You can also set up boundaries for no-mop and no-sweep zones.
iRobot's iAdapt 2.0 technology is a big element of what makes the Combo j7+ so smart. The front camera on the majority of the robots made by iRobot is used to stay clear of dangers like pet waste and power cords. The only issue was the small water tank on the Combo J7+, which means that you have to refill it frequently or limit its cleaning to smaller areas and run it more frequently in eco-mode.
Another drawback is that the Combo j7+'s dust bin is small, and you have to empty it manually. The Combo mop pads were also less efficient than other brands. This is a pity, because this robot is otherwise excellent.
